Hello, I tutored general and organic chemistry at Highline College for a year, moved on to UW so I could mentor high school students with their college applications. I proofread their personal statements, scholarship essays, FAFSA, etc. I did that for about six months. I love tutoring because it's a great way to connect with people on a common subject, and I can be superior to you noobs. Tutored for Olympic College. Started with Organic Chemistry and expanded to include Algebra through Calculus and most of the sciences. I was well liked by most of my students and was asked by them to help with other subjects (such as English or Music) that I had to decline. Three of our four children are ADD/ADHD and went through the majority of their school years on IEPs. Getting the school to fulfill their legally mandated responsibilities in accordance with the IEP process was a constant struggle. As a result, I am very familiar with that process, most specifically with those children in the process as a result of an ADD/ADHD diagnosis.
