Emily is methodical in her approach to teaching, but she is also open to adjusting to changes to our collaborative learning plan if needed. She's assertive to the degree that's necessary to be a good teacher as well as being patient and supportive. I can tell she is continually in the process of assessing my progress as student by the questions she asks and the exercises we undertake. This tells me as a person that she is very engaged as a educator. I've enjoyed learning from her and highly recommend her as a tutor.
