Luis has been, for me, one of the greatest writing teachers of my entire scholastic career. Writing was always a difficult topic for me to fully grasp because it is not a fact subject. By that, I simply mean that two different teachers with the same paper may grade it completely different. Luis, taught me a way to write, that teaches the core fundamentals of writing while still keeping my unique style.
Not only does he teach exceptionally well but he has never wasted a moment of any of our time together. I can honestly say he is one of the few teachers that wont try to take up time just to get to the end of a class. this means, if we finish our session early not only will he leave at that time, but he only charges for the time we spent together learning. Because of his teachings not only will I score much higher on the S.A.T writing portion of the test but I will be a much better writer throughout my life.

"Academic Prose / College Composition"
My interest in working as an academic tutor began after earning an A grade on the first expository essay I wrote as a college freshman. Over ten years later, I submitted an economic research report as a continuing education student. That report reawakened a proclivity for academic prose. From that point on, I pursued all writing roles either as the mentor or as the author. My first tutoring responsibility materialized in the fall of 2009 when I accepted an assignment to tutor freshman Eng... ... My son and I are very happy with Mary and I personally cannot believe how inspired I was selecting her from the several options I had on WyzAnt. Aside from perfect pedagogical skills and a wonderful personality, she is highly trained in her field and customizes her tutoring to her student's needs, keeping pace with how these needs evolve. She is also very good at incorporating feedback from the parents and making the students feel good about their performance and progress without "overdoing" it. All in all a perfect match for my 9 year old son who was "stuck in" phonetic spelling and was not able to move on to correct spelling on his own. We are VERY happy we met her and we recommend her without any reservations!!

Why am I a tutor? One simple reason! – To help young people gain the confidence to reach their goals! I have a tremendous 'passion' for tutoring young people. My infectious enthusiasm motivates my students to accept the challenge to be the best they can be. Additionally, I make sure we have a little fun as well. There is no better way to get a student to learn than to think they are having fun.

I have been teaching and tutoring EFL to students of all the stages and ages for about thirty years now. My experience in the field has helped a lot of students to perform well in learning English for different purposes and in getting high scores in their exams. These results have not been accidentally reached but through diligent and persistent work in tracing the causes of and the reasons for the factors that may hinder or hamper students' abilities to learn the language. My experience with Michael was excellent. Michael assisted me with a graduate statistics assignment. Michael throughly explained the problems to me. Too, he was extremely patient, nice and friendly. With Michael's help, I earned an A for the assignment.
