"Elementary Education Teacher who has a passion for all subjects"
I graduated with a dual-certified Elementary Education degree and a minor in Psychology. I have had wonderful experiences in my student teaching and jobs in the elementary schools. I am very creative and love to explore websites and teacher resources to make sure all of my students get the best education they can. I get energized when teaching students, especially when I see the look on their faces when they finally get it. I never let my students feel bad about themselves when they do not ge... ... More
We assessed both group and individualized approaches with industry recognized companies, as well as private tutors. To our good fortune, we identified Janet G., and following a phone screen, interview and meeting with our son, we hired Janet. Within the first week, Janet created an assessment plan and was very engaged in understanding our son's strengths, weaknesses, likes, and where he struggles. Janet discussed various approaches and learning techniques with us, laid out her plan and then quickly became well acquainted with our son. After the very first lesson, our son invited Janet to be a "special guest" at his next birthday party. Testimony to her easy spirit and wonderful demeanor!
Janet has been working diligently with our son several times a week since, and has been greatly successful in getting him to “re-learn†the basics and gain confidence to persevere though the more challenging skills. Our son has gained a tremendous amount of self esteem as he has now begun to read on his own!
We cannot thank Janet enough, and although we know there is still more work to be done, we couldn’t have achieved this much already without Janet’s exceptional talents and myriad of experiences that she draws upon. We highly recommend Janet as she has immeasurable creativity, patience and integrity. Additionally, Janet has been the key contributor to our son’s new favorite pastime…reading!

My review of Ira is that he is very patient. He makes sure that you understand the material he is teaching clearly, before he moves on with new material. He is big on making sure you understand "the why" of what you are doing, which is exactly what I wanted in a tutor. I highly recommend him if you need help in statistics. I love his sense of humor which helped to ease my nervousness about learning statistics. With hard work on my part and help from Ira, I believe I will be able to pass my statistic class with a minimum grade of a "C".

Christopher gave me a first hand view of how a coder in HTML & CSS utilizes the tools of those languages. He also introduced me to Dreamweaver and even shared with me some of his own work projects from the "real world" of coding, which was very helpful because I have only seen what we have done in class and there's so much more. I would definitely use him again because he asked plenty of questions to figure out my exact needs and systematically went through them all with me.

"Knowledgable in Web Design, Cooking, Business Development and more"
I began in elementary school without a father figure and my mother always working. So for various reasons I began my life behind and it wasn't until 5th grade that I began to catch up. I was in special education all the way through to middle of high school. However, I finally learned how to best learn topics I just couldn't understand. I went from leaving high school with a 2.67 GPA, to right now, where I am in college with a 3.97 GPA at 163 credits into my BA degree in Web Design. Not many ... ... More
