Barbara just started tutoring my son in Spanish. In the short time that we have known her, she has been very friendly and professional. She has really taken the time to get to know my son and his needs. She has been extremely organized and has always come prepared with lessons for my son that are engaging and interesting. Best of all he looks forward to his lesson. Barbara is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend her.

My 7 year old son has worked with Jennifer for six months. Despite being bright, he couldn't master phonemic awareness and phonics through his instruction at school alone. He felt stupid and avoided books at all costs. Now he has begun to read proudly and states that 'Journal Time' is his favorite activity at school. He walks down the hallway with his nose buried in a book!
What helped immeasurably was Jennifer T's ability to pinpoint instruction to his exact level. She scaffolded lessons so that he was always successful and encouraged him to stretch to the next level. She provides him with games, activities, physical touch cues and even dance moves to help him master phonemic awareness! He has so much fun, he wants to go to tutoring (and this is a very active little boy!). She has provided me with resources to better my own understanding and consistently provides us activities and materials to help us at home.
I am an educator myself and felt helpless that I could not help my own child learn to read. We needed an expert and feel blessed we found one. Best of all, my son found not only a teacher but also a cheerleader and a friend.

Was very familiar with the topic (Calculus) and able to convey ideas and concepts with ease.
Jared also connected the specific concept of the chapter with those of future chapters, placing the entire lesson within the context of calculus as a whole. In addition, he was also patient and willing to wait for his student to try to figure out the problem on his own, before he jumped in to help. An overall effective and amiable tutor.
