Private Physical Science Tutoring, Teachers and Test Help.

"Algebra Tutor"
I love to tutor. The joy of seeing a student's eyes "light up" when he or she understands is priceless. After more than thirty years of teaching, I have a very large "bag of tricks." I have succeeded many times when less experienced teachers have failed.
The first thing I do is put the student completely at ease. The relaxed student can learn a lot more easily than the nervous student. Then I ask for the last test or problem set which gave the student difficulties.
I then start looking at p... ... More

"Patient/Experienced: Calculus (all areas) Linear Algebra Diff Eq."
Prealgebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II are probably the most important math classes one will take. It is essential that one understands at least 90% of the material in these subjects before moving on to Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus... One can get a good grasp of these classes with less understanding; one cannot, however, begin to approach these classes without the proper foundation.
I have been helping students improve their test scores on average 30% for over two years now. I have an ability to reiterated what most people perceive as complicated in a simple fashion which allows one to ... More

Kalyani worked with us to find a time that would work with our schedule and was very patient with us helping us to figure out what help was needed. Very professional and highly recommended!

I have asked Doris to help me prepare for a job interview that I will encounter the first of next year, and not only has she motivated me to work hard to excel, she has also given me great advice to perform well during this meeting.

Fateme was slow and patient with me during my Physics homework. Explaining the steps to working out the problem as we went. It really helped my understanding of the concepts and the reason behind each step.

Catherine was phenomenal. She was very personable and interested in me as well as very open about herself. She was committed to my goals and came ready with ideas and a plan for how to proceed. She had also done hours and hours of work to prepare for our lesson, and came with many helpful materials to use, flash cards, explanations of certain concepts and ideas for where to begin. She was very flexible and wanted to help me in the best way possible, she wanted to make sure that my goals were met and that she was constantly being effective. I can't wait to have another lesson and continue learning with her.
