Carlene has helped my daughter tremendously. My daughter loves learning with Carlene. Carlene has always given us 30 extra minutes of tutoring and never charged. My daughter never wants to quit and it seems like Carlene never wants to quit tutoring. She is teaching my daughter how it all works, so it is easy for her to understand it all. Cassandra J is the best. Thank you so much Cassandra J for your help. She is helping my son so much. He has never felt like he could learn and could excel academically. Cassaandra has helped boost my sons confidence and has him so interested in learning. I am soooo amazed because he reads now and adds his opinion on what he has read. It's what I have been hoping and praying for. We need more Cassaandra J's. She has my son not believing, but knowing that he can achieve success.
05/10/2013 I have to take a moment and give credit where its due. Casaandra J has helped my son so much. I have attended IEP meetings with school officials for the past 2 years and have been just disgusted over my son's "learning deficiency". I believed that there was no help and if there was help, I couldn't find it. Along comes Casaandra J. and I now know that my son has the ability to work at his grade level and even beyond. He loves and trusts Cassaandra J. He said that he feels that he can ask her anything and she doesn't judge him. So important! So important! I had almost given up, not on my son, never, but on school for my son. I see such an amazing improvement. I am soooo excited and so is he. He knows that he is able to do the work. Dad - Ms. Ellen is a gem when it comes to education and being very knowledgeable about education and helping students. She has helped my son and increased his confidence.
As grandmother, I've noticed that she is stern but very caring. She is the person my grandchild needs because he's a high maintenance child, loving but active. I have observed my grandson use the strategies Miss Ellen has taught him. She has studied his test results and is addressing those needs.
Update: after I posted my comments earlier for Ms. Ellen things started to change. We started to have problems. I discussed some of my concerns and gave her suggestions to give me, the grandmother who was paying the bill, feed back. This was not done. She was very aggressive to me so I asked her to write the date of the lesson and leave a smilie face if the lesson went well. This was not done! To me that wasn't being professional. I was waiting to score her to see how things were going but I couldn't because more than 14 days had passed.
I'm sorry it has to end this way!
