I hired Angela to help prepare my daughter for the SAT test. She took the test before, but I wanted to try to improve her score. I wanted someone who was knowledgeable in solving SAT problems, great in English and knew how to write essays. I wanted a tutor who knew the little tricks in preparing for the test. Someone who could think like the people who prepared the test. After the first session, I realized that Angela was that person. She was very knowledgeable of the material in the SAT study books and was able to explain it in a way that made it easy for my daughter to understand. She was very patient with my daughter. She knew my daughter played softball and she related her softball to studying and preparing for the SAT. I think she is an excellent tutor. I won't know for a few weeks if my daughter actually increased her score, but I am very hopeful. I highly recommend Angela for SAT preparation and regular tutoring as well. Kevin has been working with my college student son in an upper division college level chemistry course. I have been communicating with Kevin to set up a schedule for their tutoring sessions. Kevin lives on the east coast and we are on the west coast so they have been working online. Kevin has responded quickly, clearly and concisely to all my e-mail communications. The three hour time difference presented a scheduling challenge but Kevin has been very flexible and accommodating in this regard. My son was hesitant about online tutoring at first but was pleased with their first session and from that point on was on board with online tutoring. I have not been present for any of the actual tutoring sessions but my son has told me that they have helped him a lot and that he likes working with Kevin. So far they have had 6-7 sessions.
