Amanda is very easy to talk to and very patient. She brings things down so that you are able to understand the concept or topic on your own terms. She is very knowledgeable in your subject area and is not afraid to say she doesn't know and will find out the answer if need be. She is very personable, confident, and works to find out what you know about the topic. She is not adverse in trying different ways to get you what you need to know. I would recommend Amanda to any one who is looking for a tutor. She is a good teacher and very easy and comfortable to work with. Mary Ann is very patient and incredibly resourceful. My son absolutely loves working with her. She helps him with biology and has made a tremendous impact on his study skills. She recently helped him study for a biology test.
Her method of teaching helped so well that he received a 89.5% on his test! He now has an "A-" in biology. I cannot express enough the improvement we have seen due to her help. Last year in science his average grade resulted in a "C". She has helped him realize that with the right tools he can easily achieve these high grades.
She encourages using several resources to capture the full essence of the topic. She makes it fun and finds several ways to break down the subject. She has taught our son to be an active learning by using other sources then the ones used in class. Ensuring he really understands the subject completely. And, he actually does it!

Casey helped me to prepare for the GRE. The timeline was short, and she was flexible in scheduling tutoring sessions to maximize the available time for review. She was professional in her attitude and knowledgeable of the subject material.
Each session Casey had reviewed the GRE manual for what we were covering, had a lesson plan, and had suggestions for what to study on my own. The lesson plans were well thought out, specific to my needs, and kept us on track for the session. It was obvious that Casey had spent a considerable amount of time outside of the lessons preparing for them.
These tutoring sessions helped me approach the test with greater confidence, and to achieve a higher score on the GRE. I would recommend Casey for any upper level English coursework, GRE Verbal and GRE Essay tutoring.

Billie continually provides the support my daughter needs in her honors pre-calculus class. She is patient and very methodical, which has been key to my daughter's understanding of the material. Billie has been able to identify areas of need, and then worked with my daughter on those key points. The low-stress manner in which Billie approaches math has helped to improve my daughter's confidence in her own ability to succeed.
