"Helping you UNDERSTAND Math"

Hello. My name is Brandon. I am a graduate of Boise State University where I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, a B.A. in Philosophy, and a minor in Political Science. I graduated from Gonzaga School of Law Summa Cum Laude with the degree of Juris Doctor. My two teenage boys really like Tom. He sees both of them at the same time for a couple hours and bounces back and forth between the two of them. He helps them through a couple math problems and then has them do a few on their own to see if they have questions. During this time, he turns his attention to the other boy. He is one of the few that I could find who could teach Honors Algebra 2.

"Retired High School Math Teacher Now Tutoring "

I have recently retired from the Lake Pend Oreille School District where I taught high school math for the past 11 years. The previous 20 years were spent as a professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where I taught history and philosophy in the humanities and social sciences department. I enjoy the one-to-one tutoring connection and the energy of students who are willing to go the extra mile to improve their academic performance. Because I take this work and the success of thos... ... More

This review is for a graduate course in the intersection of education and law. Janet is very patient, kind, and wants you to do well. It is wonderful to find a teacher/tutor that really cares. She is wonderful to talk about content, and she knows how to explain statutes in layman terms. She deconstructs tough text and explains it in a simple way. My point is that she is the best tutor, and I would recommend her to anyone who is struggling with issues with writing or breaking down complex text. She is wonderful.
This is our first time working with a tutor for my son who has been struggling with Calculus. We couldn't be happier to be working with Michael as he is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way that made it easier for my son to understand. I knew right away that this was a great decision to get a tutor as I could see immediately after the first lesson that he was less stressed, seemed to relax and felt much more confident. My son's exact words were, "It helps to know that I can do it, that I can understand it as soon as someone just explained it to me in a way that made sense". For a parent those words are golden!
Robert is a great tutor. I just passed my MTEL Elementary subtest, and I owe a lot of it to him! He is extremely flexible with tutoring times, sticks to his schedule, and is willing to work on anything. He will review material for as long as you need to understand it, and never rushes you through anything. I am an elementary school teacher and would recommend him to anyone looking to study for the MTEL or anyone who needs a math tutor!
