"Experienced History and English Teacher"

What I do best is engage students one-on-one or in very small groups. The conscientious student will learn the material, and will learn to think critically about the material. Chances are that we will have a good time doing it. [That's really all I have to say, but the form I'm filling out requires a minimum of 250 words for some unexplained reason (no critical thinking allowed?) so I'm continuing to write, giving you some background and maybe insight into the process I'm going through t... ... "Published writer; excellent history, English, writing and other t"

I love history and enjoy literature and writing. My A.B. degree was about the equivalent of a masters in English. I have had background checks done twice in the last 2-3 years in order to do the substituting I have done and am doing. If you need me to get another, I'll be glad to do one. Grammar is important, and needs to come first. After grammar, teaching someone how to write with a good style, beyond the basics, would be only a part of what I can do. Writing is more than putting down w... ... More

We arrived several minutes early to the library (which was the arranged place for the lesson) and Clare was already there ready with a table and study materials. They read together and she made study aids for him to work on the words he had trouble with. My son, Matthew, was very happy with his time with her and is looking forward to the next lesson.
Any teacher who starts a lesson with "what would you like to learn?" is on the right track. The first thing Heather asked me was what I wanted to learn, and that's where we started the very first lesson! She was well prepared and very knowledgeable as well as a talented artist. I would recommend her services to anyone looking to become a sketch artist or simply hoping to improve their skills. (She even gave me a free sketch pencil!!)
