"Multi-subject tutor from Argentina with a PhD in Biology"
I received my Bachelor in Biological Sciences in 2012, and my PhD in Zoology and Evolutionary Biology in 2018 at University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Although I found research to be a fundamental key to generate knowledge, what I enjoy the most is to teach and do outreach activities for children.

"French tutor and middle school Spanish tutor"
Language has always been my passion. I am an accredited French teacher, but I would also be capable of tutoring middle school students in Spanish.
I adapt my teaching approach to my student's needs which tend to fit into two categories. Students already in class such as middle school students who often need reinforcement lessons and extra practice of things they're already doing in class. This approach helps students succeed specifically in their classes at school, turning that C into a B or... ... More

"Patient & Experienced Private Tutor Across Multiple Subjects"
Learning and teaching is never a process which can be properly dictated and planned for, it must evolve based on regular and meaningful interaction between a student and teacher. It is with this mindset that I approach every student I work with, always being cognizant of a specific student’s strengths and weaknesses and working to improve every aspect of their academic journey.
Moreover, I currently hold my Masters degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boston College w... ... More

Charles was focused on where I was at, (skill set) then ensured we outlined a plan to learn things in a thorough manner. I am confident I will improv my GRE score.

My son is in his 4th year of Honors Chinese. This academic year (2014-15) began as a challenge for him. This school year has a growing emphasis on listening and speaking. Being from a home where Chinese is not part of the routine and with very limited opportunity to practice his language skills, our son had a tough start to the year. To help him along we decided to find a tutor. We had a few tries before meeting Daniel. I don't doubt the skills of the other tutors, there weren't, however, able to find enough common communication ground with my son to make the tutoring sessions productive. That all changed with Daniel.
Daniel's assessment of my son's skill level, pathways to effective learning, and study idiosyncrasies, was spot on. From the first lessons with Daniel our son has felt a greater connection to the subject matter and he now expresses a greater confidence in his work. Having been placed in Honors Chinese and having maintained that placement, our son is clearly has meaningful skill with the language. Nonetheless, after working with Daniel our son's performance improved immediately. Having continued to work with Daniel our son has been able to approach the class with less stress and apprehension. It is no secret that reduction of stress improves performance. We attribute a good portion of our son's current success with this difficult language to Daniel's help.
