"Experienced Independent School Teacher and Tutor"

I graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 2016 with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Arabic Language. At Trinity I was Vice President and President of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) my junior and senior year, an RA for two years, a ruby player for two and a half years, and I did two years of clinical and laboratory research. I wanted to take a couple gap years before applying to medical school and I decided that teaching would be preferable to research. I have... ... More

I strongly recommend French lessons with Benoit. This summer I needed to learn how to read French in order to pass a graduate school French exam. I chose Benoit because of his quick responses to my emails, because he is a native speaker, and because he was enthusiastic about helping me. Benoit's teaching experience was evident from the beginning of the first lesson--he listened to what my goals were, figured out where to begin, and then dove right into teaching me the basics. Foreign languages have always been difficult for me, but I picked up on the basics of French quicker with Benoit than I had with either Latin, Spanish, or a previous attempt at French in the past. I appreciated his patience and and encouraging levity in every exercise we did, which made it feel less like a nerve-inducing class and more like having a coffee with a friendly French speaker. Benoit met me at a library that was convenient for me and always had a full lesson prepared in advance but was also willing to take a detour over the course of the lesson if I had something I had a question on or wanted more practice on. Great experience, highly recommended.

"French and Chemistry Experienced Tutor"

Born in a French speaking country where French is the official language, I have learned to speak, write and use French for more than 40 years. My studies were done in French and I graduated by writing my dissertation in French. After my graduation I taught Physics and Chemistry for 4 years at a high school before joining the food industries. Teaching is fun and requires lot of patience. I had lectured to multiple classes and prepared students for final exams with success. During my teaching ... ... More

I was an undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia, where I taught General Chemistry Labs for 2 years. I understand the importance of individual teaching sessions. I am a current undergraduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University, I will be receiving my bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry this spring. I have tutored before as a volunteer for United Community Ministry and most recently through CHAT (Church Hill After school Tutoring). Jassmine is very professional and very bright. She carries herself very well and communicates at a high level. I hired Jassmine to tutor my freshman son, however, he had a hard time following her. He needed someone who was much simpler and slower. I would hire Jassmine for my older kids.
My son has only seen Sue a few times, but so far, the results have be AWESOME. In just 2 tutoring sessions I have seen my son's test scores rise over 40 points!!! Sue is very patient and understanding and tries to teach in the way the student will understand. I am really excited to continue to work with Sue as I have seen phenominal results so far!!!
