I wasn't sure where to turn when my little one requested chess lessons. I don't play chess and he is really young. Keith was wonderful every step of the way, both teaching my son patiently and helping me assist my son in learning beyond the tutoring sessions. He recommended books and groups so he could continue to improve.
I was truly impressed with the professionalism and thoughtfulness of this tutor. I think that gifted teachers combine intelligence with an ability to patiently explain and invest energy in their students beyond what is necessary. If each of us is lucky, we will encounter one such teacher and that person can be transformational. Keith is such a tutor. He is outstanding in every way.
He is just wonderful and I was lucky to find him through WyzAnt.

"Leslie A. Elementary Education-loves to make learning fun!"
Both my son and husband have ADHD. I have been working in a public school for over 28 years and every year there is at least one child who displays ADHD characteristics, with or without the official diagnosis. I know they need lots of breaks, learn best by first having an educator identify their best learning modality and then use that modality during instruction. I also was one of the editors of a book about non-drug treatments for ADHD. ... More
My 13 year old son was struggling with 8th grade pre algebra. Herb quickly had my son thinking through and solving algebraic equations, now in a high school math and engineering program it has been noted by his new teachers that the extra work with Herb K. has paid off, thanks!
