I am a native Vermonter. I left Vermont when I was 18 and enlisted in the US Marines where I served two combat tours. I am a former State and Local Anti-Terrorism Trainer through the Bureau of Justice Assistant. In 2016 I graduated from the College of St. Joseph with a degree in secondary education majoring in social studies. Shortly thereafter, I was licensed by the state to teach history and social studies in the secondary setting. I operate a small farm, and produce goat milk and homem... ... More

"Chemistry and Algebra 1 Tutor in the Rutland Area"

As an undergrad I was given the opportunity to provide peer tutoring to General Chemistry students. I provided private and group sessions. I had some experience assisting high students when I was a private tutor for high school students at a private school in NH. We focused on understanding the concepts for their chemistry course and in turn strengthened algebra skills. I was passionate about helping others understand concepts of general chemistry and how to approach their exams. I always st... ... More

"Published writer; excellent history, English, writing and other t"

I love history and enjoy literature and writing. My A.B. degree was about the equivalent of a masters in English. I have had background checks done twice in the last 2-3 years in order to do the substituting I have done and am doing. If you need me to get another, I'll be glad to do one. Grammar is important, and needs to come first. After grammar, teaching someone how to write with a good style, beyond the basics, would be only a part of what I can do. Writing is more than putting down w... ... More

Shiraz was instrumental in helping my son prepare for his college freshman year in mechanical engineering. My son decided to pursue this major at the end of his junior year and was quite behind in both calculus and physics. Shiraz patiently tutored my son throughout the summer in both calculus and physics, and my son successully completed college calculas with a B, and is now taking physics and enjoying it. Shiraz does give it his all to make sure the student understands the subject. I highly recommend this professional.

"A seasoned Electrical Engineer now teaching Physics in High School"

I am trained as an electrical engineer and was fortunate enough to spend a rewarding career in that field. I recently decided to change careers in order to teach science and math in high school. I have completed my teaching license program at UMass Boston and earned my M.Ed degree and a MA license to teach Physics and Math. My involvement in education has been prevalent throughout my engineering career through volunteering at local, regional and state level science fairs as a judge. My teac... ... More
