Chris is very knowledgeable in math. He is currently tutoring my daughter in Algebra and she says he is easily understood and patient. He has taught her to approach problems in some different ways. Chris comes prepared and really tries to understand what my daughter is struggling with.

"Experienced Math and Chemistry Tutor "
Algebra is one of the pillars of Math. Variables such as x and y are used represent unknown numbers until their values can be determined. Fortunately, there aren’t too many things you have to memorize in Algebra. It's mainly intuitive. Once you know the techniques, you will be amazed at how powerful they can be.
Topics in Algebra 1 include handling linear equations and inequalities, graphing, word problems, exponents and radicals, quadratic equations and factoring. Just let me know what you need help with. ... More

My son seems to like Nirav and has used his teaching notes many times as a reference for his reviews or homework. He feels that Nirav has taught him better than his current Geometry teacher. His daily grades have gotten better, but his test grades have not improved enough for me. I have talked with Nirav about that issue and we feel he needs some more practice to get the hang of his classwork. We will increase his tutoring to an hour & half to give him more practice time. Nirav seems very patient with my son, gives good feedback, is always on time, and seems to spend a little extra time with him. I would recommend him.

"Tutor for Maths/SAT"
One reason for me to tutor is I enjoy teaching. I used to do parttime tutoring at the University of Texas at Dallas Library for undergraduate students, in math, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus while doing my master's of electrical engineering. I also used to give private lessons to middle school and high school students in the same subjects (i.e., related to mathematics & partly science). All my students have found my way of teaching useful. I am patient in teaching and I do no... ... More

"Caltech Undergrad for Math and Science Tutoring"
Sometimes certain material isn't just as readily accessible to everyone and it can be rather frightening when exam deadlines are approaching. I work with students to understand the scope of what they need to learn and develop steady schedules that we can follow to carefully and timely cover the material for a course or upcoming exam.

"Patient and efficient Professional Tutor for chemistry and math."
As a Professional Tutor at Westshore Community College, I have learned to respect and appreciate the different ways in which people learn. I have been tutoring chemistry, math, and biology for 12 years, and enjoy the satisfaction of watching students learn. It is especially rewarding when a student comes to me after experiencing difficulty with a subject, and leaves with confidence in their ability to successfully complete their work. I love to see the proverbial light bulb go on!

I've never done Accounting, and this was my first time taking the class online. I am very happy with my tutor Rafay. He explains things well, and he has patience too. We did everything that I wanted to get done within three sessions. I will recommend him to anyone who is having hard time in accounting. He's great!

"Accounting, Economics, and Mathematics"
I am an accountant with a year of public accounting experience. I am preparing for my CPA exams while working fulltime in the DC metro area. I graduated from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in the spring of 2016. I like teaching a lot as it is an extremely fulfilling job. I try to vary my approach according to the student's needs. My goal is to help students with conceptual problems so they can better understand the subject.

"Physics, Calculus, and SAT Math Tutor"
Tutoring has been passion of mine for about 5 years. I'm great at taking complicated concepts and reintroducing them in a more palatable form. I love being able to draw from everyday, real world examples to better convey physics and mathematics concepts to students. I've worked as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for the Student Success Center at the University of South Carolina for 2 years where I was responsible for organizing 3 50minute sessions weekly of various collaborative learning a... ... My daughter was excited initially about Spanish lessons, but like anything, we need to keep up the enthusiasm! Claudia is giving her homework and my daughter is cooperating! It is hard to tell if this form of tutoring is going to stay with my daughter but I feel the one hour immersion is good! Claudia is young and able to relate to little ones! Perhaps a book or pamphlet or curriculum to follow would be helpful! Thanks for the wonderful opportunity! hopefully my daughter will continue throughout this year and 2013!

You deserve a bigger thank you than this brief letter for what you did. I am very thankful and glad I had the opportunity to meet you at the perfect time, before finals week! Thank you for taking the time to sit down and make sure I fully understood my math issues. I just wanted to thank you personally because your tutoring did in fact help me a great deal. If I have any other problems with this subject, I’ll be sure to contact you! Thanks again :)

I have been working with Suzie for several weeks. She is very good at correcting accents and editing papers. I never realized I had some problems with my pronunciation until I met her. She is very patient and experienced. She is good with all level students. I am at a bottle neck stage of my English, and she pointed out many details that I never pay attention to before. She is also a very nice person who excuses me of being late every time. It is a pleasure to work with her.

Judy is such great helper. She is very knowledgeable and I was very comfortable with her. She listened to what my needs were, and was able to help me get through my tests. With her help, I passed the class with a better grade than I expected.
