"Edward M - Photographer, printmaker, digital imaging pioneer"
Experience and innovation - I've been a professional photographer, printmaker, and digital imaging pioneer in the Saint Louis area for almost 20 years. Portrait, wedding, commercial, travel, architectural and nature photography are my primary areas of photo experience. I've been an active Adobe Photoshop user since 1992, and I'm also knowledgeable and experienced in Adobe Lightroom and Capture One Pro, the new generation of photo management tools.
As a printmaker, I own and operate large fo... ... More
Yumi matched the pace I needed. In areas where I was ready to move faster, she moved faster, and kept me challenged and progressing at my optimum pace. Whenever I struggled, she matched my pace, giving me extra time to catch up, so that I always understood the material before moving on to a new concept. Because she maximizes the use of the lesson time, she is an excellent value for every hour spent with her. She uses multiple teaching methods within a single lesson, for variety, which kept me concentrating and focused longer than usual. I loved the way she custom-tailored the lessons to meet some very specific needs that I have. She is a master teacher.

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, a minor in English, and am a classically trained piano teacher. I feel I am gifted at teaching.
I believe anyone can excel in math. Anyone! There are rules to math, and most students don't realize this and stumble around in the dark, guessing at how to solve math problems. That's where I come in. I give my students the rules and then reinforce the rules with exercises and problems. Once students know the rules and develop confidence in their p... ... More
