Virginia tutored two of my children each at a different grade level. After the first session both said they had a light turned on by Virginia and they got it! She asks the right questions and engages the kids as partners in the solution. I highly recommend Virginia.

"Reading Spec'list: Exec.Funct.Disorder/ADD/Dyslexia;Writing;Math;ESL"
I have worked with ADD/ADHD of various ages and in many different subjects for many of the 35 years that I have been teaching. I am extremely patient and very kind while helping them maintain their focus on the lesson.
I help them increase focus through several different strategies, ranging from setting intention and creating motivation to keeping a behavioral modification chart.
I have had great success in increasing focus, creating a more positive attitude toward school work, understanding the lesson's material, and finding joy in learning. ... More
Katie has tutored my son for about 3 months now and has done a wonderful job. She is so enthusiastic about teaching kids biology. You can tell it truly is her passion. She has a way of keeping it fun and interesting so my son can relate and learn very quickly. She does it by using examples, diagrams and many times finding u tube videos to watch. She goes above and beyond.
I highly reccomend her to anyone whose son or daughter might be struggling or not understanding a concept.

When I am looking for a tutor, I often look for a person who is patient and calm in their approach to teaching. Giorgio is both. I am not afraid to ask him questions when I am puzzling over something. He clearly knows what he is talking about whenever I ask questions about Latin translation and scansion. He is a master in Latin. I am currently translating the Aeneid by Virgil, and from previous tutoring sessions, I've seen that Giorgio can easily bust out an accurate translation of the material without having to flip in the glossary or reference anything (I'd italicize "anything" if I could). So, if you're looking for a Latin teacher, he's your guy. You won't regret it. -Mark's daughter.

"Kerry K. - Patient, Effective, Elementary Specialist"
Helping your child learn is my goal! As an experienced elementary specialist, I enjoy helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to be successful.
When you start with the basic principle that every child can learn, success follows. It starts with listening to the parent and child, then evaluating their needs so that an effective plan of action can be formulated. I believe that plan should include fun, hard work, and the satisfaction of attaining goals, one by one. Working i... ... More
