My son has struggled with Algebra and Geometry for the last 2 years. In just 2 weeks of meeting with Deborah, my son has a more positive outlook about Math and already feels like he has a clearer understanding of the concepts they went over. Sometimes it just takes someone to present the information in a certain way that opens a child up to be receptive to the information, and for us Deborah is that person. I look forward to my son getting a jump start on Algebra 2 for the upcoming school year and know that he'll be able to go into it with more confidence. Thank you Deborah for your patience and ability to communicate effectively with our son in a manner that helps him and I am confident the continued sessions will help him to be successful through the upcoming year. I recommend Deborah to anyone with a child of any age that is struggling and needs the additional help.

Mrs. W. is an outstanding tutor, who is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in the subject in which she tutored me which was precalculus. Mrs. W. translate the language of advanced mathematics, into plain English which inspired me to study engineering later on when I enter college. Unlike most common stereotypes about tutors; (i.e., "They do your work for you") Mrs. W. does not do your work for you, instead she teaches you, guides, you and shows you examples on how to solve the problem!! I highly recommend this tutor for everyone who needs help in math!

"Math Magic EPCOT engineering week presenter"
ACT test prep should be done the month prior to taking the test, not the night before.
If tutoring is needed on all subjects, I normally teach four to six 2 hour sessions after proctoring an actual ACT "practice" test. I analyze this test to determine weaknesses and provide a benchmark, with stated improvement goals.
I go over incorrect answers, teaching WHY they are incorrect answers, and go over verification and test taking tips which help raise scores by preventing common and simple errors. I also provide step by step methods for improving the student's actual essay written during the pr ... More

"Doing what I love: teaching, training, interacting with people."
I am a retired U.S Army officer; retired in 2010, after 28 years of service. I served in support of the Navy and with the Marines. I can help pupils with their preparation for the ASVAB, which my son and stepson just took and scored 86 and 89, respectively. My stepson is now serving in the Air Force and my son decided to be a doctor first (cross your fingers). I can also help them prepare to pass the physical fitness tests and achieve the proper height/weight standards. But what I can do best is pass on to them my experience and knowledge about the services, so they can make a much mor ... More

"Certified Spanish and Algebra Tutor"
Hello! My name is Walter. I acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University Catholic of Honduras. I am 33 years old and I enjoy teaching Spanish and Mathematics. Spanish is my first language. I came to the United States seven years ago and I have been learning English since then. I believe this gives me an advantage, as I am well aware of and familiar with the difficulties of learning a foreign language as an adult.
