Hello! I have been teaching for seven years and have worked with kids from first grade to sixth grade. In my current position, I teach math to 5th and 6th graders. Presently I work as a Reading Specialist with Middle and High School special needs students. My case load consists of students with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, Aspergers, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia,and emotional difficulties.For my students with ADD/ADHD I am very cognizant that they may need periods of time within each session to move about and that as instruction occurs they may need to manipulate something in their hands or possibly chew gum.
