I started my study of accounting as a sophomore in high school which lasted through my senior year as an independent study in advanced tax and cost accounting. I continued my study of accounting while earning a bachelors degree in management. This study included finance and a cooperative position as an accounting assistant which I was able to kee until graduation. Presently I work as a Reading Specialist with Middle and High School special needs students. My case load consists of students with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, Aspergers, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia,and emotional difficulties.For my students with ADD/ADHD I am very cognizant that they may need periods of time within each session to move about and that as instruction occurs they may need to manipulate something in their hands or possibly chew gum.
