I strongly recommend French lessons with Benoit. This summer I needed to learn how to read French in order to pass a graduate school French exam. I chose Benoit because of his quick responses to my emails, because he is a native speaker, and because he was enthusiastic about helping me. Benoit's teaching experience was evident from the beginning of the first lesson--he listened to what my goals were, figured out where to begin, and then dove right into teaching me the basics. Foreign languages have always been difficult for me, but I picked up on the basics of French quicker with Benoit than I had with either Latin, Spanish, or a previous attempt at French in the past. I appreciated his patience and and encouraging levity in every exercise we did, which made it feel less like a nerve-inducing class and more like having a coffee with a friendly French speaker. Benoit met me at a library that was convenient for me and always had a full lesson prepared in advance but was also willing to take a detour over the course of the lesson if I had something I had a question on or wanted more practice on. Great experience, highly recommended.

Denise is a truly wonderful tutor. I am a returning student, who hadn't done any real math in 12 years and because of that I had developed somewhat of a "math phobia." With the help, support, and guidance of Denise I have been able to slowly gain confidence, bring back lost skills, and learn new ones. She has a patient and calming demeanor which I find to be very important when tackling a tough task. She works through each math problem with you in a clear and straightforward manner, making it all that much easier to understand. She is always reachable, which is just another added bonus. I would highly recommend her if you need help and want to succeed!
