and was a Teaching Assistant there in German Language. I attended the Friedrich Alexander Universitat in Erlangen, Germany, on scholarship where I studied German Literature and History. Beyond teaching from a textbook, I believe in teaching a practical, everyday useful German, which is appea... ... More

BJ has already gotten me through enough to do most of my reports on an excel spreadsheet. He continues to be patient even though he has to repeat things to me. He has improved all aspects of my Excel capabilities and has improved my job performance with his knowledge of the excel program by tutoring me. Well worth the time and expense.

Ms. Marcia has been such an incredible help in Spanish tutoring. This past semester was my final semester of my undergraduate career, and in order to graduate I needed to fulfill an advanced level Spanish course. Foreign language has never been my strong suit, and that was incredibly apparent after my first test and first failing grade ever in my collegiate career. My professor told me there was no hope of my graduating or passing this course, and that I should seriously consider dropping the course all together. However, I did a bit of research and found Ms. Marcia through Wyzant, and I couldn't have made a better decision by choosing her as my tutor. She is incredibly fluent in several different languages, and grammar is her specialty. She was able to help me understand Spanish in a different way, and I was not only able to pass Spanish with a B+, but I was able to graduate from GSU Cum Laude, and with other honors.
If you are looking for a tutor in just about any language, Ms. Marcia is the right choice.

"Taking one step at a time"
When I was growing up I told my father that I wanted to be multilingual. I studied French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Arabic. In addition to Portuguese and English, I now speak, read and write (native fluency), translate and interpret three of the six languages listed above.
I also told my parents that I wanted to be a world traveler and learn about other cultures. I did so and lived, worked and traveled in and to around 37 countries. My linguistic skills helpe... ... More
My daughter is a freshman at Georgia Tech and aspires to be an Industrial Designer. She is very artsy and creative and math is definitely not her thing. But she has to take 2 semesters of calculus. She has had several tutors on campus who understood the concepts, but were not skilled in their ability to teach.
We have had 3 sessions with Ari. He is extremely pleasant, professional, and prepared. He arrived with a note pad to work out problems, listened to my daughters questions and found a way each time to answer her in a way she could understand. He obviously loves math and wants to impart his love of the subject to others. He was energetic and involved and kept her attention during every moment. My daughter will never love math, but she loves having math reviewed with Ari and wants to use him for her next semester of calculus!
I also have a high school daughter struggling with math. She has seen Ari in action with her sister and has asked me recently " Can he be my tutor too?"
I cannot recommend him enough. Ari is the math tutor of all math tutors! I cannot thank him enough for restoring my daughter's confidence in approaching math problems.
