""Patient and knowledgeable with 3 masters degrees.""
I am currently a full-time GED teacher and I have a very high completion rate (usually a student gets their GED in 2-3 months). I work with minors and adults who have dropped out at eighth or ninth grade. I give them tips for taking tests and show them tricks to learn the material faster. I am positive and I create a learning environment that encourages students to learn. I have taken students from not being able to read all the way through their GED and into college classes.... ... "Math, Physics, Writing Tutor"
I tutor because I enjoy it. I also tutor because I am good at it.
I enjoy being able to empower students to feel the same euphoria that I felt when I overcame my own struggles in Math. Yes, I struggled with Math. I was a C minus student in Math on a good day. All the way up to High School, I worked hard, and tried, and failed to excel in Math. I excelled in all my other subjects, but Math was a different beast. In High School, I resolved to give Math my all, once and for all. I signed up for... ... More

"Patient Math, Science and GED Tutor"
I have tutored math and science for 25 years. I started at Pima Community College, tutoring in math, chemistry and physics for five years. Since 2013 I have been an instructor in a GED program. Through the years, many students have thanked me for explaining things in language they can understand. I believe that most students have more skill than they think they do..
I find there are four common areas where beginning students struggle; fractions, percents minus signs and word problems. If th... ... More

I have now just relocated to Tucson and I am excited to continue teaching and tutoring to any student desiring to enhance their spoken or written English. With younger st... ... More

I never thought that doing poorly (I won’t say quite how poorly) on my first physics test in the tenth grade would be disguised as a blessing. Because of that performance, I was able to have Mr. N as a tutor. Having a man who worked on the Apollo projects for NASA for a physics tutor does have its benefits.
Mr. N’s understanding of physics ranges far beyond the textbook. Yes, he can prepare me more than adequately for classes and tests (and adequately for me means an ‘A’). But what he has done for my intellectual curiosity ranges far beyond what can be described by a good test score. When Mr. N showed me a derivation of time and length dilation in special relativity, I was fascinated. I had never thought that such concepts would be accessible to me so early in my education, and they wouldn’t have been if it weren’t for Mr. N. I knew right then that physics was in my future, for having received a taste of higher level physics, I had the appetite for more. To me Mr. N has been not a tutor but a mentor.
To whoever is reading this, I recommend you use Mr. N for whatever math/physics tutoring you need. Even if you don’t plan on going into a math/science field, Mr. N will give you an in depth knowledge of the subject that will help you succeed in your academic endeavors and satisfy your curiosity.

So far everything is going well. Even though its the first time, my daughter likes her tutor and hopes that she comes back to tutor her. I know it can be difficult to teach someone's child because I have tried. So thank you for being patient with my daughter.
