I was happy to have Dottie as a tutor. She helped me review some writings that I had and let me know what I didn't explain well and how I could fix them to make them more understandable. I was very lucky and fortunate to have her as a tutor, we didn't move onto the next question till she made sure I knew how to fix the grammar problems and that I knew why the reason for the fixes, something that was never really done with me in school and I wish I had and very happy that Dottie took the time to do that for me. I will definitely keep her in my books when I need more help with my writings and grammar fixes!!

"Patient tutor K-12 & College, English, Writing, Reading"

I have more than 7 years tutor and substitute teaching experience. I have taught at all grades and levels of students. To be a substitute teacher a background check and drug test must be passed--I have passed both of those and am still in compliance. I enjoy tutoring because I believe that everyone needs a little help from a patient person sometimes. It could be that little push or extra help they don't receive in class that could turn their attitude from a dislike, to a like, or even ... ... More

""Teaching Success by Building Confidence and Proficiency""

I have a strong background in reading instruction and using the creative arts to promote learning. This methodology is often a terrific way to engage students with focus problems. My own daughter has ADHD and I've tutored her throughout school. We utilize stim breaks and a system of rewards that would work well for most students with similar issues. As an LAUSD sub, I have often worked with ADD/ADHD children both in the resource classroom and in regular classrooms. ... More

I applied for the TOEFL exam, so I needed a tutor to prepare for my exam. Today I took a lesson with Danelle H, for two hours, I understood what is the TOEFL about after she explained it to me. She was quite good, she taught me grammar, oral, and the written parts, how it's going to be in the TOEFL exam. She made me feel good about my English and that I'm going to do well in the exam, and I feel relaxed when she teaches me. I'm looking forward to take another lesson with her.

Accounting has traditionally been understood as record keeping for purposes of controlling businesses in terms of incomes and expenditures. In working with USC and SMC students in their accounting courses including introduction to Financial Accounting and Intermediate Accounting I have worked to emphasize the non-obvious aspects of accounting that touch beyond profit making; These other aspects have bordered on accounting as a tool for processing information towards critical decision making within organizations. ...
