This was our first class with Christie. She suggested alternate approaches to the problem and encouraged us to be accurate rather than simply fast.
Abdel is well rounded and helped my son with SAT prep in far more ways than I was expecting. In addition to reviewing SAT Math and English he also reviewed his college essays and personal statements to ensure his writing correctly described him and his accomplishments. Highly recommend Abdel!
He was very punctual. He was a great tutor for the first two lessons. Our third lesson he wasn't able to assist with the problems presented. He stated that my daughter spent a lot of time trying to work a word problem but I felt as a tutor he should have stopped the lesson if he was unable to figure out the problem after 15 minutes. I was still pleased with his professionalism until I notified him that we no longer needed his service. He appeared defensive and sent unnecessary responses. I decided not to respond further after the second text message.
