Melissa has done a great job with my son. She has provided him with tools (Apps) to utilize outside of school and tutoring to supplement what they are working on. She is extremely caring and creates a great atmosphere for him to learn and be challenged!!!

"Tutoring should be a relief, not a burden!"
I'm an NH State certified special and general educator with over 20 years experience, bachelors and masters degree in education. Many students I work with have this diagnosis. And, in my experience, 1:1 tutoring is very productive for a student with A.D.H.D. As a tutor, I interact with the student as an individual learner, especially to establish a rapport of trust.
As the student works, I observe and can see where things may be breaking down. Tutoring provides students with privacy so they are insulated from embarrassment in front of peers. A student must learn to capitalize on the their ... More

Lee is excellent at working with my daughter who partly has a Non-verbal Learning Disorder. Currently, Lee is helping her with the writing process and reading comprehension, and has really made a noticeable improvement to my daughter's confidence in these areas. Lee uses a blend of teaching techniques that are both classic and creative that my daughter can respond to. She is also a pleasure to work with.

When the mind is unfocused, it impossible to learn. The first step is to STOP and choose to pay attention deliberately. I have 30 years of "mindfulness' practice that I will teach your child to use. I also have worked with ADD children and adults as part of 25 years teaching public school. The Special Education certificate I have is valid in Mass and NH. I can help.

My son REALLY enjoys working with Carolyn B. After the first meeting he said to me, "Isn't it weird how you can just meet someone for the first time and they are already making such a difference in your life?" After the second meeting, he was so excited to get going with his homework that he spent another hour working on it because he was so excited about what he had learned during his time with her. She was quick to figure out his learning style and has motivated him to challenge himself to become a better reader. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to have her work with our son and would highly recommend her to anyone else that is seeking a tutor!

My girls felt so much better with geometry and their confidence was regained. I had her come back for a second time the same week to keep their confidence, even their math teacher was impressed with their improvement and was able to see how much they had learned and understood. Now we just have to keep it up. A little expensive but well worth it, Andrea is definitely my girls' "life saver," thank you. Will continue to use her.

"99th Percentile Tutor: SAT, ACT, Calculus, Physics, Precalculus, GRE"
Turn yours struggles into success! I have been tutoring for over fourteen years and have worked with students of diverse backgrounds. I began tutoring during high school as a volunteer tutor to an algebra class at a private Catholic school in my community. I had always assisted my peers in class, so tutoring formally came very naturally to me. My high school guidance counselors saw how much I excelled at math and science, as well as how my I enjoyed sharing my affinity for those subjects with... ... More

"Orton Gillingham Reading Tutor"
I am an Orton-Gillingham tutor and have retired after 40 years as the lower school reading tutor in a New Jersey school, where I tutored the dyslexics (borderline, severe, and garden variety) and the late bloomers (the ones who respond too quickly to instruction to be classified as dyslexic). I still love to watch my pupils become confident readers. and I enjoy the process of getting there.
Like all Orton-Gillingham tutors, my approach is systematic, sequential, alphabetic, and intersen... ... More

Jonah my 10 yr old had his first lesson with Wahaj. He was very comfortable learning with him. Jonah said he was calm, patient and listened to him and then explained him very nicely. He liked working with Wahaj. I am satisfied that my son is comfortable and talks to him as he is shy and nervous kid. I would definitely recommend Wahaj.

My 14 year old daughter enjoys her sessions. She says she is very kind and patient. Mary also gives her many ideas on how to improve her French and gives her many resources.
