Mr. M. is knowledgeable about Geometry and very accommodating with my daughters' schedule. He takes a tough subject and explains it in a way that my daughter can understand it. My daughter enjoys her sessions with David M.

"David - Math & English Focus"
Hello, just call me “Mr. Mac.â€
Because of my varied background in engineering mathematics (College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus), university physics and chemistry, and a BA in English and Journalism in Education, I have enjoyed teaching and tutoring in related subject areas for both high school and college students.
•My best success in teaching and tutoring, particularly in mathematics, is to develop patterns from within the immediate topic, to go over text book exampl... ... More

"Tutoring Children"
I have experience with all age groups. I excel at helping children with Reading and English. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Elementary Education and I home schooled my six children for many years.Through my experiences, I have found that it is important to know not only the child's specific problems but the person as well. I realize that schoolwork can be hard but it is worth the effort. Once the child has started to have success then he becomes confident and can take the next steps... ... More

We had hired Steven to help raise our daughter's ACT score for college admission. He was very professional, always on time for sessions, and explained materials to her in a way that she could understand. He helped to raise her ACT score which was the goal! He has knowledge of multiple subjects, which helps if you need tutoring in more than one subject. We would definitely use his service again if needed! Our daughter was very comfortable with him as her tutor!

"Algebra is easy; everything is easy once you understand it."
"But that's easy!" is the response I hope for and often get when I teach. I have been a licensed secondary (grades 6-12) teacher for over ten years. My first career was as a military officer. For some reason, when I retired, my wife of many years informed me that sitting around the house was not an option. Our daughters were in middle and high school at the time. Their dinner table stories about school were, at times, a bit scary. I had all the qualifications to be a long-term substitute... ... More

Arthur makes himself easily available for tutoring Chemistry and Geometry at the Science Labs at Westminster College, a wonderful building and Athur's natural environment. If you are lucky, you may come upon him wearing his protective goggles and his white coat, a skateboard leaning against the nearby wall. Arthur's excitement about science comes across loud and clear; translating basic chemistry text into interesting language and ideas that really grabbed my 15 year old son.
DB is getting good grades because of Arthur's explanations, quizzing and sincere interest in transmitting what he understands of his subject to another person. He is just the kind of person you want to adjoin a regular class. He encourages a different way of looking at the same subjects.
Have you ever seen Dexter's Laboratory??

"National Geographic Education Coordinator"
I love what I do. I swim on my own as well as with the U.S.A. swim team. I have just graduated from Westminster with a major in chemistry, and am now working with the National Geographic educational program, Animal Jam. I am a beekeeper, and my principle role at Animal Jam is to present on camera to produce educational videos about animals, primarily bees and other insects.
I have been guided by the International Baccalaureate program, and have traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, Pan... ... More

"Two Bechelor's Degrees"
Hello, my name is Heidi, and I've taught college courses both in the classroom and online. But, my greatest reward was tutoring students in a variety of subjects in the Academic Lab. This was a setting for both traditional and older students returning to school or taking courses for the first time. My experience is rich, and I'm ready to share!... ... More
