I took the GMAT recently, and attempted to study for it on my own using three different study guides that were loaded with examples, practice problems, and methods. Despite my self-inflicted slavery to my studying, I did not do anywhere near as well as I had hoped I would on the Quantitative section of the test. However, within a few minutes of sitting down with John, I was learning alternative, easier ways to find the answers to problems that had plagued me from Day 1 of studying on my own. I also found myself doing a great deal of material mentally rather than writing it all out. John's teaching methods pulled me out of the black hole of complication brought about by my Kaplan study guides and showed me a simpler, more time-efficient way of finding answers without having an anxiety attack of second-guessing. He's very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and great at building understanding and confidence. Great tutor!

Les is very helpful and patient with all I have to know. This digital system is very new to me, but I hope some day to learn it. I often have to call him up to ask him questions on the phone. He always seems to understand my confusion and tries to help me with the problem. Also, he helps me in other ways like how to send my book to the publisher which I am very confused about with so many technical things they want you to do. I used to do offset printing and did not know that I had to learn this new digital printing in order to publish my book. I guess I'm just not up to this modern printing, but, with Les's help, I'm learning it.
