Lee is very willing to start from the very beginning for someone who has never studied Chinese. Although I've never studied Chinese when I told Lee my goal is to learn Chinese well enough to eventually get a job in Beijing he didn't mind. Our first meeting focused entirely on the correct pronunciation of 6 vowels using all 4 tones for each. I like the approach of learning to do the basics correctly before jumping into common phrases or sentences.

"Graduate of a Russian University. Completely fluent."

Hi! I'm Jen. My journey with Russian began with high school language class. It was hard. But I was captivated and stuck with it for four years (the only one in my class). The year after I graduated I had the opportunity to go to Russia on a missions trip. After that month I knew that's where I wanted to be. A year later I returned and spent the next seven years, minus summer breaks, in the city of Yekaterinburg. I attended Ural State University and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Russian P... ... You can't help but learn with Betty. She always responded to my appointment needs and her lesson plans demonstrated not only her knowledge of the subject matter, but her understanding of the learning/teaching process.
We worked on composite inverse & exponential functions. He's very helpful & knows the material pretty well. He'll walk you through all the steps & answer any questions you need help on with the material. Also before your session ends he gives you written tips to help you when you're doing the assignments on your own which come in very handy.
