Declaration of Human Rights of Older Persons

About the Report

Prompted by growing abuse of older people around the world, the International Longevity Center-USA (ILC-USA) called on the United Nations Second World Assembly on Ageing, in Madrid, to work toward a landmark “Declaration of the Rights of Older Persons.” According to the Center’s proposed document, such rights would include rights to: work, a decent retirement, protective services, and end-of life care with dignity.
