Hi there, friends call me Zee.
While I am currently in the Music Business, producing/catering concerts, my love to teach/tutor music has always driven me to stay with performing. I have a B.S. in Music Industry which required me to be proficient in Music Theory, Aural Skills, Sight Reading, Vocal Training as well as Piano. I was part of a tutoring group in college. We would all get together and bounce theories and history off each other. It was a very chill process of learning and it really...
Ear training or aural skills is a skill by which musicians learn to identify, solely by hearing, pitches, intervals, melody, chords, rhythms, and other basic elements of music. I have many years of ear training, not just learning music by ear before I could read music. I took ear training at both Young Harris College and Samford University. I am qualified because I have tutored friends and colleagues in ear training before and they have always done well on tests.
Vocal Training is the art of teaching either in Classical Style or Contemporary style singing. This includes but is not limited to: Breath Support, Register Placement, Register Changes, the workings of the throat, mouth and body together to make the sound, Diction/phonetics, performance opportunities, interpretation of the music etc. I am qualified to teach this as I have taken pedagogy classes in teaching voice for 7 years. I am also a performer.
The production of music for me is creative as well as in a business sense. I graduated with a Music Industry Degree from Troy University and am proficient in the in and outs of the music business. I can teach merchandising, copyrighting, production (studio), production (concert) etc. I always keep up with the latest trends in the business and being about to talk about the industry is my favorite thing.
