Since the age of 18, I have been a devoted member of the academic community. While attending the University of Iowa as an undergraduate, I was fortunate enough to obtain a position providing personalized instruction to fellow students. The success my peers achieved under my tutelage inspired me to pursue higher education at Georgetown University. Earning a Master’s degree in Washington, D.C. afforded me many unique opportunities but perhaps the most fulfilling were the many hours I spent authoring reference documents for the Medical Note Taking Service, a resource provided to account holders for summary and explanation of each day’s lectures. After graduating with an advanced degree in Physiology and Biophysics, I returned to my hometown of Cedar Rapids to accept a position as a Professor in the Health Sciences department at Kirkwood Community College. During my tenure as a lecturer and lab instructor, I guided more than 100 students through varied levels of coursework ranging in subject from basic physical and biologic concepts to nutrition to applied anatomy and physiology. Currently, I am a medical student living in Des Moines about to begin clinical rotations. In just over a year and a half, I will have earned my medical degree and hope to one day practice in the field of interventional cardiology. I have taken, tutored, and even taught a great number of STEM classes and would love to share my expertise with you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have, classwork or otherwise. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jordan King
