I grew up as a military brat in the U.S. Army where being fit secured employment. In this environment I embraced an active lifestyle. At the age of 13 I started studying body-building, bought my own weight set, and experimented with my diet. Eventually my routine included stretching, running, and lifting weights. I have been a regular now for over two decades, having the experience and research behind me to stay in shape and help others reach their fitness goals.
My regimen can help you build bulk and strength, but my goal overall is health and fitness. My hope is to instill in you principles that will help you lose 5 pounds during the summer, but also experience more vitality for the rest of your life. Because I know what it is like to be tempted by inactivity after a hard day's work, or impulse eating, night eating, and have fought these cravings myself, I can help you be accountable to a higher standard of living in the modern world. I taught English Literature as an ELL class at Montrose Christian school in Rockville, MD, for a semester. I used a textbook published by Penguin which provided an anthology of Classic English texts. While Literature may seem like a bore to most, according to Dr. Marilyn Jager Adams it is a major key in improving one's vocabulary and verbal skills, which are very useful in today's Information Age.

I have a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship. This course was accredited, providing a foundation for those who wish to take an additional two semesters and the state test for licensure as an LPC. Both theoretical and practical classes were taken, such as a substance abuse and the history of soul care, as well as labs where I was required to perform the role of a counselor in a simulated situation observed by both my professor and fellow classmates.
