I am a veteran high school Language Arts teacher in one of the top districts in the state. There is nothing I enjoy more than working with students to help them achieve their true potential. I work with students of all skill levels. I have taught at the honors level and worked with students taking AP level courses. Additionally, I have worked alongside special education teachers for the past 10 years, so I have insight into the struggles of students who have learning disabilities.
My approach is to evaluate a student's abilities and focus instruction on any problem areas. I offer remediation as well as enrichment. I can help fill in some of the gaps students may be experiencing as a result of remote learning. Mostly, I try to foster a love of reading and writing, both are skills students will carry with them throughout their lives.
I am a caring person who will work on building a strong rapport, and I will take the time to provide progress reports to parents when needed or requested.
