    I am a certified teacher with the state of Ohio. I have taught at a charter school specifically for students with ADHD and ADD for the past seven years. I have written IEP goals, taught using differentiated instruction to students at a variety of learning levels, and have had extensive training in managing behaviors related to ADHD and ADD. In my class, I teach social skills along with the curriculum. I have had training in crisis prevention, Brain Gyms, and behavior management in the classroom. Some of the strategies I specifically employ for students with ADD/ADHD are short group rotations, multimodal learning, kinesthetic activities, and student choice in activity or way we do the activity.

In my class, I teach social skills along with the curriculum, tailored specifically for students with Aspergers who have difficulties reading social cues and getting along with others. I have had training in crisis prevention, Brain Gyms, and behavior management in the classroom. I have written IEP goals, taught using differentiated instruction to students at a variety of learning levels, and have had extensive training in managing behaviors related to Aspergers. Some of the students I've enjoyed working with most have been students with Aspergers, because they have such vivid imaginations and it's so much fun to see what they'll think of next.
