I first began teaching when I was 18 years old in a rural Guatemalan village. I chose to pursue a career in Language Education because I love the human connections that are made through language and the linguistic and cultural information that is exchanged between teachers and students. I believe in the power of language as a vehicle to open doors in education, the workplace, and everyday life. I hold a B.A. in Linguistics and a Ed.M. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)...
